Dog boarding services
Do you need pet boarding services for dog daycare or dog homestay? Barndale can provide a relaxing environment for your pets to stay in while you are away on vacation or at work.
With a beautiful country setting, your dogs stay in our home as if they were our own pets.
Are you moving to or from New Zealand? We can arrange to pick up or deliver your dogs from domestic and international locations, and deal with any paperwork on your behalf. View the animal transportation page for more information.
Dog boarding homestay
The dogs stay with us in our home as if they were are own pets. At night they sleep in our house so they need to be house trained as there are no kennels involved.
We like to follow as far as possible each dog’s normal diet and lifestyle so we request that you supply your dog’s food and whatever else you want your dog to have whilst they are staying with us.
There is a securely fenced garden for them to play in and a paddock to run around for more exercise if necessary.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated including the ‘kennel cough’ vaccine and be treated for worms and fleas.
We can also offer pet boarding services for cat sitting and horse sitting.
Dog daycare
Now you don't need to worry about leaving your dog at home for the day while you are out and about - just bring him over to Barndale! Whatever the reason you need to leave your ‘best friend’, Doggie DayCare is the answer.
You can drop your dog off on your way out—have peace of mind and a carefree day—then pick your dog up on your way home.
Doggie DayCare is also ideal if you have to go to work and leave your dog alone all day, bored, frustrated or maybe upsetting the neighbours. Your dog will love staying with us!
What to bring to our pet hotel...
When bringing your dog in to board with us, please remember to bring with you:
- Up-to-date vaccination certificate
- Food—whatever you want your dog to eat whilst it is staying with us
- Bed and bedding
- Lead (and choke collar if this is normally worn for walking)
- Collar with current registration tag
- Feeding bowl (optional)
- Toys and treats (optional)
- Brush and comb (we will groom your dog at no extra charge)
- Medication (if required)
Just like our cat boarding and horse boarding services, we will do everything in our power to ensure that your pet has a comfortable stay with us.
