Cattery Boarding Services Auckland
When you go on holiday, why not arrange for your cat to have a holiday too? Whether it’s for a weekend stay or long term stay, you can be sure your cat will enjoy a relaxing, stress-free environment.
Barndale Boarding Cattery is ideally situated in beautiful countryside and offers a home away from home in a peaceful setting.
We are located midway between Warkworth and Puhoi, north of Auckland in the Rodney District; and only 40 minutes from Auckland CBD with easy access from the new State Highway 1 motorway.
Please make sure your cat arrives in a secure pet carrier which we will store for you while you are away. All cats must be fully vaccinated and treated for worms and fleas. Written evidence of this must be presented on arrival.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept un-neutered adult male cats.
Arrival and departure is by appointment only.
We offer a pick up/drop back service for a nominal fee based on mileage.

Accommodation
Our cattery is clean, safe and secure. It is cool and airy in the summer and heated in the winter to keep it warm and cosy. The outside areas have all-weather roofs.
Each cat has its own individual unit for sleeping and eating separately from the other cats. There are family units available for 2 cats from the same family to share. The units are fully disinfected between each boarder and we use quality pine pellet litter.
We supply warm bedding and in the winter, heat pads, for older, frail cats. However, for your cat’s comfort you are welcome to bring along their own bed or an old item of clothing with familiar smells from home. We often find this helps cats settle especially if it is their first time staying with us
Exercise
All cats have access to the outside, all weather areas.
During the day your cat will be able to move freely around the cattery.
We have created specially designed, under cover, outside play areas and inside play areas to offer a stimulating experience for your cat during their stay.
There are two outside play areas with tree branches to climb, cat gyms to play on and toys to chase around. For the not-so-energetic there are plenty of spots to sleep in the shade or bask in the sun.
We are constantly looking for different ways to entertain our cat boarders.
Feeding
Your cat will be fed twice daily, breakfast and dinner.
We have a wide variety of food including multiple brands of tinned cat meat, tinned tuna/sardines, raw meat and biscuits. We are happy to cater for “fussy” eaters so just let us know your cat’s favourite food. You are welcome to supply your own food if you wish.
If your cat is on a special diet for medical reasons, we ask that you supply this and we will feed it at no extra cost.
Your cat will have free access to water but we do not feed milk unless specifically requested.
